Other Fun Things to do in Texas with Kids

If you are in Amarillo the Don Harrington Discovery Center is a great place to take the kids. It is a hands on science museum that will not only keep your kids happy for hours, but they will also learn something in the process!

The Center has several exhibits, like the Hunters of the Sky that teaches a lot about birds of prey. Boys love this. All kids love the Space lounge. Other exhibits include Amazing Bodies, Kinder Studio, and more. One of the fun things to do in Amarillo Texas with your kids, in any weather.

One of the most interesting fun things to do in Texas for spring break is to take a trip to Houston and start by visiting NASA’s Johnson Space Center. This is where astronauts are trained at the famous Mission Control. This area has been seen in several movies and it is where space flights are actually controlled. You will find all kids will love this and the adults too. Spend time at the Houston Museum of Natural Science, the Children’s Museum of Houston, Houston Zoo and Splashtown Waterpark one of the many water parks in Texas. It is just so easy to spend your spring break in Houston with these fun things to do in Texas with kids.

Of Course there is Dallas if you are after fun things to do in Texas.

There is the Dallas Aquarium, and there are at least three water parks in Dallas Texas. Two are two Hawaiian Falls water parks, one in Garland and the other in The Colony. The third place is Bahama Beach water park, which is south of downtown Dallas. You can also head out to Six Flags located in Arlington, about midway between Dallas & Fort Worth. Six Flags has a free-fall tower, a wooden roller coaster, several steel roller coasters, trains, and many other rides. Texas has great weather and spending time at the many water parks in Texas is a great way to cool off and expend some of that energy that kids always have.

It does not matter what city or town you choose in Texas there are always lots of fun things to do in Texas with kids no matter what age they are.
